I graduated from college four years ago but I’m starting a graphic/web design program at City College next month and I am SO. EXCITED. Just having a little desk with my new notebooks and new computer is making me so happy.
I built this desk from Ikea last night! (side note: it was way easier than this dresser I built a few years ago when I was living in Miami… my body was covered in bruises after). My new MacBook Pro arrived on Monday and how it has a little home. :)
Chelsea and I went to the Refinery29 30 Under 30 party last night. I will never get sick of photobooths and Smilebooth is awesome because turns your photos into a gif that you can grab on their site after the party (I think???). We also had custom doughnuts from Doughnut Dolly, you pick the filling and they use a crazy little machine and add it to your doughnut on the spot.
I wore this white lace midi dress from Topshop for the first time! I bought it on sale while I was in New York and it’s the first midi dress in my closet. The photo shows it only going a few inches below the knee but I’m 5’8” with relatively long legs and it hit me about mid calf. I love it so much, I feel like Stevie Nicks in that phase where she wore a lot of white, I think around the time Bella Donna came out? It’s perfect for an SF summer because it’s summer-y and white but it’s also lined and keeps you super warm. And it’s very witchy.
My parents are really into glass art and they just bought these flowers (they attach to copper rods in a large floor vase) and I think they look like if Tim Burton was Dr Seuss’ gardner. On acid. I love them.
6/26/13 - blogger video shoot for Sauza in Long Island #project365 #flowers #cute
Day 135/365: my boyfriend’s roommate’s cat likes to hang out on my back and I do not hate it at all (she hurt her wee paw so she is wearing a cone!)
5/27/13 - I’m starting to see a pattern here #badpun #project365
Yeah I think I’m addicted to striped shirts.
5/11/13 - Oakland Cat Video Festival! 🐱
Day 113/365: I went to the Oakland Cat Video Festival and it was fantastic. Someone asked my friend Kevin what type of people were there and he said, “People who love cats and the people who love those people.”
Earlier this month I started my first photo challenge! I’ve been really busy with work and haven’t had much time to dedicate to photography and this seemed like a fun way to collect photos throughout my year.
I’ve created a separate Instagram account for this challenge so I don’t spam my family and friends. If you’re also doing the challenge too let me know and I’ll follow you! I’ve only forgotten to take a photo once so far so here’s hoping I can continue this year with a photo every day.
yey! Click here for my project.
